Taking the p#ss!!
Taking the p#ss!!! I wanted 1 photo to print in a 4x6, came across this website after spending ages browsing as most places print 6x4. Created an account and went to check out, for a 12p photo this company is wanting to charge £8.95!!! Have a laugh!! You will not get business by offering ridiculous shipping prices. Please have a word with whoever deals with the financial side and make sure he/she aren’t of the MP that are charging extortionate prices!! I’d rather pay the petrol prices and find a shop to print at this rate.

They have been brilliant up to now but…
They have been brilliant up to now but I now have a problem and am unable to contact them. I have tried email (correct address) given on this site to a previous customer, their own app says Id is invalid, don't know what to do now to get an answer. My app is telling me my order is in progress and email telling me has been despatched. Urgent now, as a present.

Watch out for the very high shipping costs
Spent a long time building a small (10cm x 10cm) photo book for my son. Really easy to use website with some nice templates. Thought I’d add an extra gift (a memory game) as well as a single print. All was great and at a fair price until I got to the checkout - nearly £30 postage charge! This seems extortionate. Will be shopping elsewhere thanks.

Good quality product
Final review on order 8807623.

After much chasing and raising a claim against the company, my product was delivered significantly late.

Credit where it is due, the product itself is very good quality and Photobook have made arrangements to compensate me for my trouble. Thank you.

While I commend the product itself, I have been disappointed overall by the delivery and initial customer service before raising my claim.

Appalling delivery and customer care
They do not deliver on their so called "7 day guarantee" on their website. I've placed my order more than 2 weeks ago and their tracking is still telling me that it's not been printed, frankly it's quicker to print it with your own printer and post it. Needless to say it's missed an important family ocassion and caused disappointment and embarrassment. Their customer team only responds to my email after 3 whole days with a blanket email about their production delay and that "you will receive an email when we post it". Well, If your customer is only secondary to everything else then you will lose business. Customers buy photo gifts for important occasions, if you already know there is a delay you should warn customer BEFORE they place an order, and yet I still receive marketing emails about upcoming festivities, when they are aware there is a huge backlog they can't fulfill. Dishonesty and appalling customer care, I will never use your services again.

I am trying to place an order but…
I am trying to place an order but because I have 6 separate pre-paid vouchers for the photobooks I have bought, even though I am ordering 2 lots of the same 3 books, which should automatically quality them for free shipping, it still charges separate shipping for each. This is because I have to duplicate the book and put the voucher codes in separately, rather than 3 of the same books, where the combined cost would qualify for free shipping.

I also had bought a £29 Photobook pass for free shipping, but now I can't use this. Photobook UK are not honouring this purchase by changing this to a small amount of "shipping credit" which does not cover the cost of one order.

Additionally they are charging an extra £1 per book, due to "Christmas Demand" and yet are saying that you won't deliver till into the New Year!

Also they are advertising free shipping using HELLO2022 code, but I can't enter this into the voucher section as I have already entered one of the prepaid vouchers for the cost of the books, and it seems to only allow one voucher to be entered.

So although my order should qualify for free shipping in 3 different ways, it is demanding I pay £25 for shipping! Royal mail first class tracked postage 48 hour would only charge £7.49!! I am not happy.


I have tried to speak to you on the chat, but there is not any response, presumably because you are in a different time zone to me, which is no help at all. Not much of a "live chat" then is it!! The reply given, while I was asleep, basically told me nothing I didn't already know and solved nothing.

Now 24 hours later and no further reply on the chat in the photobookuk website.

Never using this company again. After 48hours they have not responded adequately to the enquiry and not solved the issues. Basically paying £30 for shipping when I already had paid for an annual pass for free shipping. TOTAL con and in breach of trading standards.

Unexpectedly stellar
I chose this company because it posts albums around the world, so this avoided me having to send the book to myself and then re-dispatch it again.
There are many negative reviews here, and it must be quite intimidating, I must admit that I had not see those reviews before I placed the order.
Then I started to worry.
A technical issue happened with the web site that automatically picked the up an incorrect delivery address but the customer service promptly rectified this issue.
Then, I expected that the delivery would be slow just before Xmas, but then again, both international deliveries happened on time.
However, there was a 1 euro fee added by a greedy custom in France, but then I cannot blame the company for that.
Therefore, in spite of the fears, given that at the time of writing over 50% customers were unhappy, I honestly must say that issues were promptly resolved and the resulting product is good and well printed.
The packaging is not very thick and I could see someone else reported this but that did not cause any problems.
This company is a business based in Malaysia and is very suitable for international orders that a local company in the UK would have simply not accepted.

My initial reaction to this website was…
My initial reaction to this website was very positive as I felt it was so easy to navigate round and when it came to creating the book it was one of the best websites I’ve used. However my opinion soon changed when I reached the checkout page and was charged £10.95 for postage! I queried this and was told it was due to increase in freight prices because of the pandemic, which I still find hard to believe it costs nearly £11 to send a thin A4 book. It turns out the book was coming from Malaysia and not the UK, even though the website is called PhotobookUK - so be wary of this when ordering and allow for extra delivery time!! When it arrived I was really disappointed with the packaging and state of the book. It came in nothing more than a paper envelope, the corners were bent and the book itself was not in great condition. Really disappointing for the price and the fact this was for a 21st birthday gift. I will be vary if I order from here again.

So I ordered 3 books to the same address and they charge you shipping as if three separate items £30! rather than one parcel, total rip off!

Projects not ordered within 6 months of creation are deleted
I was wanting to create a yearly photo book and add to it each month, ready to print for Christmas. I added to it for a few months and didn't for 6 months. I logged on and to my surprise the photobook had been deleted without any notification or warning. I contacted them and 'Projects that are not ordered within 6 months from the date of creation will be deleted.'

I didn't know this and thought others should. I am very upset as I lost two photobooks I had been working on. Both with a lot of written content, that has not been saved anywhere else. They did appear to look for it when I emailed but to no avail.

I have ordered other books from them and have been happy with the quality but am upset to have lost those books and think warning emails should be sent to let the user know their book is to be deleted. Or make this clear when saving the project.

Product ok just don’t have a customer service issue
Worst service by a mile. They don’t read the emails and so you just go round and round in circles. Exacerbated by the fact that emails are sent from different addresses and end up in the junk
Initial product was good and I was pleased with quality but my experience 2nd time round has put me off ever using Photobook

Poor customer service
I recently created a photobook for my Grandma's 90th birthday. The photobook builder was easy to use and I was pleased with what I could create. However I needed a quick delivery and paid a whopping £35 for the express 3-5 day delivery to ensure it was there in time for the birthday. The eventually book turned up 2 weeks later, and after complaining, all I was offered is a credit note for the delivery cost to use again. The company refused to refund me the cost of the express delivery even though the issue was due to their own supply chain challenges, and there was no warning on the website to say that the express delivery was unavailable. I think it's shocking that I am not being refunded for a service I clearly paid for and failed to receive.

Great quality products
Photobook produce good quality products at very reasonable prices, especially if you use the vouchers on offer. If there are any issues the customer services team are brilliant. I recommend them without hesitation.
